Jens is a DevOps Engineer at TWINT, the leading Swiss Payment App.
He is proefficient in Speech Recognition Technologies, multiple Programming Languages and DevOps Toolchains.
Leading the DevOps team to define and implement best practices for automation, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure. Ensuring smooth collaboration between development and operations teams while maintaining high system availability and security.
Work in an agile Scrum environment, focusing on implementing, standardizing, and automating CI/CD toolchains, microservices, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Maintain high availability infrastructure and drive the transition from self-hosted to cloud services.
Led two high-revenue projects at Fraunhofer IAIS while supporting additional projects and mentoring junior talents as a Senior Developer.
Worked as a Software Developer, IT-Operator, Research Engineer, and Project Lead in the Speech Technolgies Group. Contributed to developing one of the best German speech recognition systems within a small team.
Worked in the Speech Technologies Group while completing the Master’s thesis. Developed foundational knowledge for a career in the field.
Graduated with a Master’s in Informatics, completing the program two semesters ahead of the standard 10-semester duration.
Thesis: Feature denoising using CNNs for noisy speech recognition.
Master’s grade: 1.2 (4.0 GPA, Excellent).
Graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Informatics.
Thesis: Generation and Visualisation of artifical Maps (German).
Bachelor’s grade: 1.3 (3.9 GPA, Excellent).
